A lovely pink sapphire from Barrington Tops in New South Whales. This stone shifts from a reddish pink to an orangey pink depending on the light.
The deposit where they are found is very small, and the sapphires are apparently few and far between, making them a rarity. If only there were more of these phenomenal stones out there!
